Tapas!

Well, it's conference time again. This time it was Chicago. In Feburary. In a deep freeze (insert big-eyed emoji here).

But, my saving grace was a restaurant called Tapas Valencia, 1530 State Street.

I located this cute restaurant using Open Table. It's such a good app for making dinner reservations, and it did me right again. We ordered about six tapas, and each one was better than the last. They have a HUGE menu of hot and cold tapas, along with an amazing wine menu. When you go, I recommend the Gambas al Ajillo (Grilled tiger shrimp with garlic and lemon butter) and Pincho de Solomillo (Beef tenderloin brochette grilled with cracked black pepper, served with caramelized onions, horseradish sour cream and mashed potatoes). But seriously, everything was fantastic, so order what sounds great to you!

It's child-friendly with hamburgers, chicken fingers, etc...so great if you don't feel like snagging a sitter. The service was top-notch, and all-in-all, worth the mile walk in the snow! Enjoy, friends!
